Paired-domination in inflated graphs

چکیده
The inflation GI of a graph G with n(G) vertices and m(G) edges is obtained from G by replacing every vertex of degree d of G by a clique Kd. A set S of vertices in a graph G is a paired dominating set of G if every vertex of G is adjacent to some vertex in S and if the subgraph induced by S contains a perfect matching. The paired domination number γp(G) is the minimum cardinality of a paired dominating set of G. In this paper, we show that if a graph G has a minimum degree δ(G) ≥ 2, then n(G) ≤ γp(GI) ≤ 4m(G) δ(G)+1 , and the equality γp(GI) = n(G) holds if and only if G has a perfect matching. In addition, we present a linear time algorithm to compute a minimum paired-dominating set for an inflation tree.

Coverings, matchings and paired domination in fuzzy graphs using strong arcs
The concepts of covering and matching in fuzzy graphs using strong arcs are introduced and obtained the relationship between them analogous to Gallai’s results in graphs. The notion of paired domination in fuzzy graphs using strong arcs is also studied. The strong paired domination number γspr of complete fuzzy graph and complete bipartite fuzzy graph is determined and obtained bounds for the s...

متن کاملPaired-Domination Game Played in Graphs
In this paper, we continue the study of the domination game in graphs introduced by Bre{v{s}}ar, Klav{v{z}}ar, and Rall. We study the paired-domination version of the domination game which adds a matching dimension to the game. This game is played on a graph $G$ by two players, named Dominator and Pairer. They alternately take turns choosing vertices of $G$ such that each vertex chosen by Domin...

The inflated graph GI of a graph G with n(G) vertices is obtained from G by replacing every vertex of degree d of G by a clique, which is isomorph to the complete graph Kd, and each edge (xi, xj) of G is replaced by an edge (u, v) in such a way that u ∈ Xi, v ∈ Xj , and two different edges of G are replaced by non-adjacent edges of GI . For integer k ≥ 1, the k-tuple total domination number γ ×...
متن کاملPaired domination on interval and circular-arc graphs
We study the paired-domination problem on interval graphs and circular-arc graphs. Given an interval model with endpoints sorted, we give an O(m + n) time algorithm to solve the paired-domination problem on interval graphs. The result is extended to solve the paired-domination problem on circular-arc graphs in O(m(m+ n)) time. MSC: 05C69, 05C85, 68Q25, 68R10, 68W05
متن کاملThe Paired-domination and the Upper Paired-domination Numbers of Graphs
In this paper we continue the study of paired-domination in graphs. A paired–dominating set, abbreviated PDS, of a graph G with no isolated vertex is a dominating set of vertices whose induced subgraph has a perfect matching. The paired-domination number of G, denoted by γp(G), is the minimum cardinality of a PDS of G. The upper paired–domination number of G, denoted by Γp(G), is the maximum ca...
